The Mayor and Mayoress with Philip Davies, General Manager.

We were honoured that our local Town Mayor for Burnham and Highbridge, Mr Derek Cooper, and his wife Christine were able to officially open our new store on Friday 5th March 2010.

All our staff and a number of customers were there to join in with the Grand Opening celebrations, which were extra special because it was also an opportunity to celebrate Highbridge Caravans 45th year.

The Mayor gave a great speech prior to the opening emphasising, in his own words, the importance of Highbridge Caravan Centre to the local community and further afield as Highbridge has customers from all over the Country as well as the World. This was even more relevant as there was a couple visiting from Cornwall on the day of the opening. The Mayor complemented John Davies on building a successful Company that continues to grow from strength to strength. The Davies family have Caravans in their blood! John Davies (Director) has been involved with Caravans since a child due to his Father; Bert Davies, orginally manufacturing Caravans, started the ball rolling in 1936. Then Bert Davies built a Caravan for the whole family to go on holiday in, and subsequently sold it on his front lawn and had to build another! At the Grand Opening was two of Bert Davies' Great Grandchildren enjoying the party food.

The Grand Opening was the start of a very busy show weekend where hundreds of our valued customers were able to take advantage of our introductory offers within the store.
